WEBSITE PRIVACY
Your privacy at Skipper
This notice covers the public playskipper.com website, blog and website communications.
Last updated:
The short version
Skipper collects basic page-view totals. The website does not use analytics cookies, advertising trackers or visitor profiles. You can make your choice through Privacy settings.
This notice does not describe an app privacy policy. App or account features may need their own information when they are released.
Who runs this website
We operate this website. Use the private contact form below for privacy or support requests.
Basic statistics
The page sends only its category and selected website language for basic statistics. It does not send a visitor ID, full URL or query, referrer, clicks, engagement information or a device profile in the statistics request.
Approximate totals are combined into five-minute groups. Public landing and blog pages count, as may future public features when they ship. Help and Privacy visits do not count. Aggregate website reports are retained for up to 400 days.
Records from the earlier statistics setup remain under their existing retention period. They are excluded from current reports.
Your choices and browser storage
Use Privacy settings to turn future counts off or on for this browser. The statistics preference stays in the browser for up to 180 days, and the language choice stays locally until it is cleared. Clearing browser data removes these choices.
The site respects Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. If JavaScript is unavailable or preference storage is blocked, the page sends no statistics request. Necessary language and statistics preferences use local storage, not analytics cookies.
Without JavaScript, the site's settings control cannot change the preference. You can still clear this site's browser data to remove saved choices.
Delivery and security
Servers and cloud providers necessarily handle an IP address and browser or network information to deliver and protect the site. This information is not saved in the basic statistics or converted into visitor IDs.
Google Cloud may handle information needed to operate the website. Aggregate website reports are hosted in the United States. Staff Studio sign-in is separate and requires necessary authentication and session handling.
Messages you send
When you use the contact form, you voluntarily provide a reply email and message. We use them to respond and handle support or privacy requests. Please avoid sending sensitive information. Contact messages are separate from aggregate site statistics.
Messages are stored privately in the signed-in Skipper Studio inbox on Google Cloud for staff to handle requests and applicable record obligations. The public website does not currently collect email signups.
Purposes, basis and providers
We deliver and protect the site and respond to requests because those activities are necessary to operate it, based on legitimate interests where applicable. First-party aggregate statistics help improve public sections, and you can opt out.
Google Cloud hosts the website, reports, and private Studio contact inbox. It may process information in the United States and other locations under its applicable arrangements. This website implementation does not sell personal information or create advertising profiles.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may ask to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict or object to processing, or receive a copy. Use the contact form below. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Aggregate counts do not identify a visitor, so we cannot locate or delete an individual's page view. Turning statistics off affects future counts. We will not ask you to send extra sensitive information just to make a request.
Updates and scope
We will update this notice if website practices change. The last-updated date appears at the top of this page. App or account features may require their own privacy information.
